Early Morning, pick up from your hotel to head to the airport. Once we land in Cusco, your guide will collect you to drive you to your hotel.
Appreciate Cusco’s cobbled-street charm with a tour of the city’s key sites. Start your explorations of Cusco from the historical center, the Plaza de Armas. Stroll down Hatun Rumiyoq Street, one of the Inca empire’s original roads. Everywhere you look, you’ll find stunning views and friendly smiles. We will walk through the ancient neighborhood of San Blas and its quaint streets. Get ready to meet new families and be inspired by this incredible city.

Today the tour begins with a pick-up at 7:30 a.m. You will be picked up at the hotel lobby by your guide. You will be driven on a road that winds around the mountains north of Cusco. You will be taken to the majestic Inca site, Sacsayhuaman, with its enigmatic, 200-ton monoliths, hear from your guide, and then keep driving to Pisaq. On the way, we will stop at El Mirador (Lookout Point) a famous spot to witness the valley and gain some insight into Inca history.
The Sacred Valley was one of the main areas the Incas settled. There is an unusual abundance of fertile plains in this high area of the Andes. You will also witness vast contour terracing and irrigation channels left behind by the Incas. Later on, we will drive towards the ruins of Pisac. Here, you will witness and learn about the Inca culture. You will see amazing works of stone art and impressive agricultural terraces. Our journey resumes with the visit to Maras and Moray. Moray is a beautiful farming laboratory enigmatic and mysterious. Maras Salt mines but one intriguing sight that should not go unnoticed are the ancient saltpans, known as Maras salt mines. Strategically dug into the mountainside, thousands of shallow pools filled with salt water eventually evaporate and leave behind the crystallized salt, a process that has been practiced for more than 500 years.
After exploring, an Enigmatic Spiritual place awaits us, it is a meditation place, also known as the land of the Arco Iris, and as its people are very devoted to Mother Nature, the Arco Iris represents to them the pregnancy of the Pachamama (Mother Earth) to give fertility to have abundant harvests. Visit Chinchero weaving families to learn about ancestral weaving art.

This afternoon we will visit pass by our workshop for the next day’s weaving class at the Centre for Traditional Textiles.

This morning you will receive a warm welcome from our weaving masters, with the local traditions of our community. Our expert guide will explain to you more broadly all related to our project, textile trajectory, and the textile industry in general, etc. Then we will start with our experience at the workshop, the first activity consists in going out to collect plants and prepare the wool for the dyeing process. There will be an assistant who will guide you at every step. You will be provided with the materials/tools required in the workshop. All you have produced can be taken back home.
OVERNIGHT AT A LOCAL HOME
After breakfast, our driver will pick you up to drive you to our next spot, the massive Ollantaytambo archaeological complex: this site remains almost the same way it was in Inca times, and so does the village! It was a religious, cultural, and military village, one of its purposes was to be a checkpoint on this side of the valley. Its enormous architecture is still a mystery to many up to this day. The ruins have a beautiful Temple of the Sun, Moon, and The Temple of the 10 Niches. This ancient Incan town displays narrow walkways, lined with water channels. Our train departs at 12:55 pm or 3:37 pm, the train trip to Aguas Calientes is just under two hours, descending into the Cloud Forest, where you will see orchids, bromeliads, and ferns. Our guide will meet you just outside the train station and will lead you to your hotel. At Aguas Calientes we relax and later on, we all will gather at the hotel lobby to go for dinner.

Early in the morning, you will take the bus up to sacred Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas“. It is a complete town with different quarters, squares, alleys, buildings, astronomical observatories, and terraces. After a guided tour, you will have enough time to walk up to Huaynapicchu (Ticket should be reserved well in advance), explore the site and then you will return to Aguas Calientes to take your train back to Ollantaytambo. Enjoy the rest of the day in town.

Today, we will visit our skillful master and the atelier of textiles in the Sacred Valley. The unique handwoven pieces are shown and you will be taught about the process of each of these works of art.

We say good bye to Cusco, after your breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and lead you to the airport for your flight to Lima.
